Bathroom leaks often begin as small, overlooked points and gradually lead to hidden moisture damage if not addressed early. In this Caringbah South property, our inspection was requested after ongoing water ingress was suspected within the shower area, despite the bathroom appearing largely intact on the surface.

During inspection, we identified that the silicone seals around the shower mixing cover plates had deteriorated, allowing water to track behind the fittings and into the wall cavity. These seals play a critical role in preventing moisture migration, and once compromised, can allow water to bypass surface waterproofing systems.
We also identified the corners of the shower, where tile junctions meet, as weak points in the waterproofing. The existing grout in these areas was no longer providing adequate protection, increasing the risk of ongoing water penetration.
Our team carried out a detailed repair process of the bathroom , focusing on grout lines, tile junctions, and penetrations.

The affected grout was carefully removed, and the area was thoroughly cleaned and dried before applying new epoxy grout and professional-grade sealant. This process restored a watertight barrier, preventing further moisture ingress while preserving the existing tiles and finishes.
A typically bathroom renovation can cost in excess of $50,000. Epoxy re-grouting offers our clients with a cost effective option that prevents leaks in bathrooms and other tiled wet areas.
Following the epoxy re-grout and sealing works, the bathroom was restored to a fully watertight condition, with clean finishes and improved protection against future leaks. The client can now use the bathroom with confidence, knowing the underlying moisture issue has been addressed.

At High Demand Restoration, we provide targeted solutions for bathroom leaks, moisture intrusion, and preventative repairs across Sydney — helping homeowners protect their property before minor issues become major problems.
