A torn flyscreen might seem like a small problem, but it lets insects inside and leaves a window looking neglected. When the damage is on an upper floor, it’s also a job most homeowners can’t safely reach on their own.
At a home in Dover Heights, NSW, a flyscreen on a second storey window had been accidentally bumped and damaged. High Demand Restoration was contacted the day before and attended first thing the next morning to replace it.

The before photos show the mesh torn through the lower section of the screen. Once the mesh is torn, the screen can no longer do its job of keeping insects out, and the gap usually gets bigger over time.

The damaged screen was removed from the window, and a new flyscreen was supplied and installed in a single visit. The new screen fits the existing window, so it sits neatly in place and blends in with the frame.

With the new flyscreen fitted, the window can be opened for fresh air again without letting insects in. The job was completed the same morning, and the client was happy with the result.
